Community
Ridgewood Park is a proud community in Prince George’s County, Maryland--a vibrant partner to its neighbors within the Washington, DC metropolitan area (the County borders Washington D.C. and is just 37 miles south of the city of Baltimore). Established in 1696, the County was formed from land in Calvert and Charles Counties by an act of the Maryland General Assembly on St. George's Day, April 23, 1696. The County was named for Prince George of Denmark, husband of Princess Anne, heir to the throne of England.
Our community is located just off the Capitol Beltway (exit 17A) and off Campus Way North (near the intersection of Landover and Lottsford Roads). The Ridgewood Park community is centrally located to some of the metropolitan area’s most sought-after destinations. We are minutes from the Largo Town Center metro station, the Boulevard at the Capital Centre (a mixed-use shopping center), an upscale restaurant park, and the home of the Washington Redskins Football team--FedEx Field and the Sports & Learning Center. Soon, we will be the proud neighbor of a new shopping center anchored by Wegman’s Grocery Store and Best Buy.
